Disastrous Love

Shattered Glass

A slap to her face,

a blow to her aching gut—

Love is shards of pain.

A bruised body pleads,

yet she begs, "Please, dear, come back."

Love is shattered glass.

The Destruction of us

Why did you let go?

Our love could span every mile—

now I’m left behind.

I didn’t let go,

But the miles built walls too high—

we had no way left.

Wrecked by you

Whispers of his kiss

Are all that he left me with—

silence fills my soul

Echoes of her voice

Haunt my dreams through endless nights

a void left inside
