“New Year, New Me”, said everyone,

Leaving me in wonderment,

As to which aspect about them they wanted to make “new” this year,

Some were baby steps, some were accomplishing dreams,

Looking forward to the next 365 days with vitality and liveliness,

Pages of notebooks titled “New Year Resolutions”,

Few did as planned to achieve what they wanted,

Whereas for few, the list on the page just remained a draft they would add more things to next year,

Some people showed new colours of them,

Many learned and excelled at new skills,

Few struggled, failed and fell,

Nonetheless got up and got through another year,

Success, failure, breakups and patch-ups remain in the normal routine of life,

Learn from your mistakes and achievements,

Enjoy the roller coaster you're in and live this year to the fullest,
