In the midst of destruction,

I find a strange comfort,

As the world crumbles around me,

I am alive, I am alert.

The walls come crashing down,

And I am left standing,

Amidst the rubble and ruin,

My heart still pounding.

The world is chaos,

And yet I find peace,

In the destruction that surrounds me,

I find my release.

The fire burns bright,

As the world falls apart,

And yet I stand here,

With a lightness in my heart.

For in this destruction,

I see a chance to start anew,

To rebuild, to create,

Something that is true.

So let the destruction come,

Let it ravage and tear,

For in its wake,

I will find something rare.
