A whole new world, a few less things

What are its issues, what censorship brings?

Are ideas really free,

When they’re changing history?

From TV shows to government lows,

Freedom to express, children’s distress

How much to regulate,

What exactly is inappropriate?

It’s changing, maybe not for the better,

When ‘Twitter’ is judging you for every letter.

Cancelling has become a new movement,

Creators getting banned after community disapprovement.

Is it fair, is it just? Well, it changes,

Based on environment, political scenario and cultural ranges.

The internet, and in it,

Anonymous became synonymous

With both freedom and hate,

Who is to judge, who is to comment?

Is freedom of expression not something worth relent?

But to an extent, it should be,

Think of the children, what they could be.

Is it necessary? It may be,

But I can tell what likely won’t change for me,

That education is power and also the key.
